This tea is fragrant, light, refreshing and known for its golden color. Even though traditional Sencha originates from Japan, it is also produced in other countries, especially China. The difference in the Sencha from Japan and China are brought about by the production process. Chinese Sencha differs from the Japanese one both in fragrance and taste. China Sencha is very fragrant and reminds of fresh hay while Japan Sencha has the scent of fresh grass and a slightly sweetish taste.
