Black Elephant Been Cha Tea
Harvest: 2021
Leaf: Deep dark brown, small to medium, flat-round pressed.
Character: Mild, soft, sweet.
Specials: A tribute to an extraordinary event: For the first time, 16 wild elephants moved from Xishu- angbanna to Pu-Erh and back in 2021. This newly developed elephant trail represents the intact nature in this area and deserves a special tea made of high quality and long-lasting material.

Pu-Erh tea originates from Yunnan Province, China. It is made from the same wild tea bush (Camellia sinensis) as green and black tea. The main difference is the fermentation process of tea leaves, during which dried tea tree leaves are poured into large piles in a thick layer. The leaves are moistened with water, covered and stored each time. The elevated temperature provides the perfect environment for the bacteria to multiply, which instigated the fermentation and gave Pu-Erh tea its unique properties and specific smell.
