Svanetian salt is an aromatic salt originating from the Svaneti region in the mountainous north-western part of Georgia. In Georgia, this salt is traditionally used as a seasoning for various meat and fish dishes instead of our usual table salt. But there is nothing ordinary or traditional about this salt mixture. The spice characteristic of Georgia is distinguished by notes of cumin, coriander, fenugreek, garlic and chili. Svanetian salt is perfect not only for meat and fish dishes, but also for flavoring soups, potatoes, stews and salads, and preparing marinades.
Taste it and you will be pleasantly surprised by the warming flavor of seasoned salt.
