Pitaya, also known as dragon fruit or strawberry pear, is a fruit of a cactus. Pitaya has an impressive pink to purple pulp, the pigment of which can also be found in beetroot. This fruit is slightly sweet and has pleasantly crunchy seeds, thus reminding a bit of a kiwi or strawberry. It can be a great snack or go together with porridge, yogurt or smoothie.
